I was commissioned by BioMiM, a small Swiss ecological engineering consultancy, to design a visual identity rooted in biomimicry, which explores the relationship between natural and human-made ecosystems. BioMiM’s mission is to help nature and human activities thrive together through biodiversity consulting for agronomists and educational workshops for children.

BIOMIM VISUAL IDENTITY

In the logo design process, I explored the relationship between people and nature at the heart of biomimicry. Combining natural forms, human characteristics and playful typography was key to appealing to BioMiM’s diverse audience – from agricultural professionals to children.

The logo’s playful mascot combines floral and human features to represent biomimicry. A supporting cast of hand-drawn characters extends the visual language for social media and future brand applications.
